Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser stated during the company’s 4 August Q2 earnings calls that attacks against company facilities last week by Yemen’s Houthis and Iraqi militia did not cause any material impact, either operationally or financially. Initial satellite imagery showed damage to storage tanks at the 400,000 b/d Jazan refinery, while the Abqaiq processing plant also suffered minor damage (MEES, 31 July). Imagery this week reaffirms this prognosis, although despite the minimal damage, the Jazan refinery remains offline.
