The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) delivered a record 114.6TWh in electricity to consumers last quarter, its Q3 results show. Egypt signed an agreement to export 3,000 megawatt (MW) of electricity to Europe via the Greek network, a step that aligns with the country’s plan to become a regional energy hub, noted a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. Oman’s state offtaker Nama Power and Water Procurement (Nama PWP) announced on 12 November the signing of a 20-year power purchase agreement for the 125MW Dhofar II wind project. Qatar and Pakistan have agreed an arrangement to divert 24 LNG cargoes from Qatar that were originally set to be delivered to Pakistan in 2026, according to Pakistani media. Under a so-called ‘net proceeds differential formula’ Qatar will sell the cargoes on the open market, and Pakistan will pay the difference if they sell for below the contracted price. Egypt is set to double its Gulf-sponsored multi-billion-dollar Mediterranean Sea resorts. Qatar has pledged $29.7bn towards “transforming Alam El Roum into a coastal tourist and investment destination,” according to a 6 November Egyptian Cabinet statement.
