Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, has announced new leadership appointments at several petroleum sector companies as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and support the ministry’s strategic objectives.
Khaled El-Sayed Abdel Salam Saleh has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Badr El Din Petroleum Company (Bapetco). Saleh began his career as an engineer at Petrogulf Egypt in 1996 and most recently served as Chairman and Managing Director of Esh El Mallaha Petroleum Company (Eshpetco).
Mostafa Mohamed Ibrahim Hussein has been named Chairman and Managing Director of Eshpetco. Hussein started his career as a geophysicist at Khalda Petroleum Company in 2002 and served as Chairman and Managing Director of Marina Petroleum Company in 2023.
Nasr Abdel Salam El-Sayed Farag has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Marina Petroleum Company. Farag began his career as an engineer at Abu Qir Petroleum Company in 1996 and was most recently Assistant Chairman for Operations and a board member at Marina Petroleum Company.
Ashraf Abdel Sattar Ahmed Ali has been appointed General Manager of Operations and Board Member at Marina Petroleum Company. Ali began his career as Head of Studies Department at Bapetco in 1999 and most recently served as General Manager of Petroleum Engineering in 2023.
On Monday, Badawi announced additional leadership appointments at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Ganoub El Wadi Petroleum Holding Company (Ganope). This round of appointments is part of a broader reshuffle undertaken by the minister since the start of the year.
