Drydocks World continues to upgrade its facilities in Dubai to provide more advanced solutions for shiprepair and conversion customers. Recently the yard has introduced the CH 320 CNC bending machine, a new addition to its pipe shop, which is designed to enhance precision, efficiency and fabrication capabilities, but the ability to bend pipes from 6in (DN150) to 12in (DN300) with thicknesses ranging from 7mm to 17mm.
According to Drydocks World CEO, Capt. Rado Antolovic, “This new investment enhances our ability to execute high volume conversion, EPC and ship repair projects, by streamlining fabrication, reducing lead times and increasing overall efficiency, thereby allowing us to deliver multiple projects simultaneously with greater speed and precision. Moreover, we are opening our advanced pipe bending services to external clients across the maritime, energy, and other industrial sectors.”
The new bending machine alone is expected to generate a 5 – 10% increase in productivity, further strengthening in-house capabilities. “These enhancements allow us to execute complex projects with greater speed and accuracy, reinforcing our ability to meet growing industry demands, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance,” adds Antolovic. “As Drydocks World continues to invest in innovation, we remain focused on optimising our infrastructure and pushing the boundaries of operational excellence. This latest upgrade is another step toward ensuring success from state-of-the-art engineering solutions that drive efficiency and reliability across every project.”
In another important development for the yard, Drydocks World has inaugurated a new automatic shot blasting and shop priming facility. This investment is intended to streamline operations while improving turnaround times.
